Artist statement

Habitual learning about the natural world, with a focus on species and their environments consistently inspires my practice, cultivating a greater sense of ecological understanding. Biological and spiritual communication are central themes, finding connection and meaning on a cellular and familial level informs an investigation of my own identity.

Fascination with ritual and the ceremonial domestic results in physical manifestations of memory, inherited trauma and intergenerational knowledge. The process of making allows for a meditative and reparative space, serving illusions of finding order among chaos and the effects of time.
